Picture of Kamau Picort
  • Finance Administrator

Kamau has joined us following a five-year spell working at the Church of England in the Pensions Board Housing Department.

Kamau left Brunel University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting in 2017. After a year in commercial finance working for a national freight company as a Finance Assistant, he joined the Church of England, initially on a three month contract, managing the income collection from the retired clergy members resident to the seven Supported Housing schemes provided by the Church across the country. This developed into a five year stay, where he was able to build great relationships within the National Church Institutions and support former clergy who had given their life to the church and struggled during the lockdown period, whilst building confidence in his ability of account management and annual budgeting.

Kamau is 2 exams away from completing his chartered accounting exams (ACCA), which he intends to utilise to climb the corporate ladder, and also use the transferrable skills to aid peers with personal finance advice.

Warm and approachable, Kamau is an avid football fan, and outside of spending time with his family and friends, he is likely following his hometown club Ipswich Town or reading up on anything else Premier League related.
